Ogun Partners With FG, World Bank To Boost Agriculture In Rural Areas


Ogun State government has, in conjunction with the federal government and the World Bank distributed equipmentworth more than N150m to farmers in rural areas to boost their trade.

The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun made this known while distributing the equipment to farmers in Eri, an agrarian community in Ijebu North East of the state.

Amosun who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Stephen Ipinniwa noted that farmers can now hire modern farm equipment at subsidize rate in order to boost food production in the state.

He added that the initiative will encourage young farmers to develop interest in Agriculture by replacing the aging population of farmers in the state.
