The national President of All Farmers Association of Nigeria AFAN, Kabir Ibrahim said farmers in Nigeria have not had it so good in the aspects of production and marketing of farm produce since the last twenty years like its experiencing now.
He made the revelation in an interview with TVC News Katsina Correspondent.
He said a lot of people are now embracing agriculture, hence the need for the Federal Government to maintain its current postures in the agricultural sector.
The AFAN national President cited an example with Katsina state, where he says a preliminary survey indicates that More than 62% of those who paid for Muslims Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia are Farmers.
He called for continued support to the Federal Government and its policies, especially in the Agricultural sector for the Country to take back its rightful places amongst nations in the World.
