ICCIA Trains Members In Tomato Farming


Lagos – The Ikeja Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) has said that it has concluded arrangements to train members in how to become effective and efficient tomato farmers.

Ambassador Edward Olutoke, the president of ICCIA, said that the training would take place on August 15 2020 at the chamber’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos. He added that there would online session on Zoom.
The president of the chamber explained that the training was part of the “Project One Family, One Farmer” initiative of the chamber.

He stated that the chamber was training her members to take advantage that exist in the agriculture value chain, adding that there is ready demand for tomatoes in the country.
He posited that attendees would be taught the rudiments of tomato farming, adding that they would also be taught how to market their produce.

Olutoke said that there would be a question and answer session and new members would be registered at the event. He disclosed that members would be given business connection and food.
