6, 670 Plateau farmers beneffited from CBN anchor-borrower sch


About 6,670 rice farmers in Plateau received seedlings, fertilizers, herbicide, pesticide, water pump and other rice growing materials from the ongoing program of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) of the Federal Government.

In the head of state, the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) says that farmers received their goods within the last three weeks as part of the Plateau Agricultural Development Program (PADP) in the areas of local government in José, Shendem and Magune, respectively.

The secretary of the association, Mr. Daouda Aku, who spoke with journalists in José, said that the beneficiaries were drawn from 17 local state authorities.

He said: "6,670 people were approved in the state's 3 geopolitical zone, and about 36 trucks, each loaded with 600 bags of fertilizer, were allocated to rice farmers in the state."
