30000 rice farmers in Bauchi State are to gain from the 2019 dry season rice farming lending. According to the state Chairman, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RFAN) , Dr. Yahaya Adamu Yusuf disclosed during the flagging off of commodities distributions below the Anchor Borrower’s programme for this year’s farming season in Bauchi during the weekend.
He mentioned that the Anchor Borrower’s programme had boosted the financial standing of its beneficiaries, along with development of the agricultural sector.
According to him, the Bauchi State Government had assisted over 20,000 rice farmers within the state, who have benefited from the Anchor Borrower’s programme.
He also mentioned that the farm inputs have been distributed to the beneficiaries primarily based on the necessity of their farmland.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to repay the loans on time to allow other farmers to profit from the scheme.
